Finally, at long last we  have a new website where we can all share the multitude of photos of our NRHS 50th Reunion Weekend of September 10th 2011. When you peruse all 7 albums I created, it will be obvious all the joy we experienced getting together and celebrating this milestone.  The weekend was nothing short of phenomenal!  Enjoy the viewing.

When you go to the above web address, you will be taken to the Shutterfly.com website, which will allow you to view and order pictures, make books and other products.  If any of you have pictures you'd like to contribute to any of the 7 albums on our site, please contact Judy for instructions.
This site was created by Judy and most of the pictures on the site were contributed by Neal Dorf, David Mandel, Vivian Kahn, Betsy Enos and Judy Bauer.........and of course, the darkest of all the photos included in the Seniors Prom album represent the amateur class photographers using the cameras on the tables. They get an A for effort tho'. Kudos to all.  Since our professional photographer for the evening was a "no show", our pro class photographers provided an invaluable service.  We are so lucky to have their photos.

We hope you agree, the wait has been well worth it.  Seeing these pictures just brings back those memories we created at our reunion and now it's visible for all to see.  For those who couldn't join us that night, wait 'til you see everyone all grown up.  Definitely check it out!

BTW, please forgive any errors in labeling or categorizing all photos and note that no editing has been done.  It is what it is!

We have other exciting news as well.  We, as a group called NRHS Class of '61, will make contributions from remaining donations in our class fund to NRHS in 2 different ways.  First we will contribute to a Multi Cultural Fund, which will be recognized by a Tile with our class name on the NRHS Legacy Wall.  Second we will offer a prize, perhaps annually, to the most deserving Senior.  We will get back to you with more details on both of these options very soon.  These options were suggested by the very dynamic Principal, Don Connetta.

The Day After

To all our Classmates who joined us for the spectacular celebration of our 50th Reunion, THANK YOU for helping us make our dreams a reality.  We hope you all had a fabulous weekend, renewing friendships and remembering what it was like to be eighteen again, at least for a little while!
  For those who couldn't make it back to celebrate with us, we missed you all, and hope to see you at our next Reunion...55th anyone?  Can we wait that long?

Final Reunion Weekend Update

Hi Classmates,
  Countdown to the Reunion: we're looking forward to seeing many of you in just two weeks, and will be thinking of those who can't be with us.
  Our plans for the weekend include:
Friday night Meet and Greet at the MIX cocktail lounge at the Crowne Plaza Hotel from 6 to 9 pm.
Saturday morning at NRHS: Meet at the Braemar Road entrance, and look for purple and white balloons:

Plan to arrive at 10 am sharp for a guided tour of the high school.  The NRHS Museum of Arts & Culture will also be open for viewing for those who may not be up for the walking tour.  There will be a presentation of the history of NRHS at 11:15, and lunch will be in the cafeteria from 12:00 to 1:15.  For those of you who would like to stay for the NRHS home football game, we will have a special section in the bleachers reserved for us!
  This Saturday daytime event is all free of charge.  We will provide a bag lunch for everyone - the choices are:

• Honey turkey, lettuce and tomato on a roll
• Roast beef, lettuce and tomato on a roll
• Breaded chicken cutlet, topped with fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and onion, on a roll
• Eggplant with fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and onion, tomato and olive oil, on a roll

Water, chips and an apple will be included

NRHS 50th Reunion Update!

Our Reunion committee is hard at work contacting classmates and making plans for our Reunion weekend, September 9th, 10th and 11th.   The committee working with chairs Judy Siegel and Nancy Steinhaus includes Harriet Corman, Neal Dorf, Phil Kleckner, Steve Marks, Ed Richmond, Stan Richmond, Ken Roffe, Marcy Rosen, Lovelle Ruggiero, Karen Spitzer and Maddy Topper.   They have already been in touch with many of you, and we thank you for helping us locate classmates.  We couldn't do it without you!  

The Senior Prom

Great Reunions is also working with us to create a fabulous Saturday night Senior Prom.  If you have not responded for this event on their website, www.greatreunions.com, please do so soon. On August 12th, the ticket price goes up $20, and an additional $20 at the door.  We are planning an exciting evening, so please join us - with or without spouses - festive cocktail party attire!

  Friday evening, we will have an area in the bar of the Crowne Plaza to meet and greet classmates, beginning at 6 p.m.  (cash bar, and food will be available for purchase)

  Saturday morning, we are planning a NRHS tour, picnic lunch at the school, and short program, beginning at 10.

  Sunday morning, we will again have an area of the dining room at the Crowne Plaza for brunch, from 10 to 12, to say our farewells...
